What Led You To Practice Estate Planning Law?

"Once I graduated from law school, I began practicing as a general civil litigator for a firm in Silicon Valley, California. Without necessarily intending to, I worked on many probate cases and soon came to realize that many of the problems people were encountering—including courtroom battles and litigation—could have easily been prevented through proper estate planning. With this realization came a budding interest in estate planning, so I began focusing more of my efforts in the area. As of today, roughly two thirds of my practice is dedicated to estate planning, and the other third is dedicated to probate cases."

Daniel's practice Focuses on the following Areas:

  • All levels of estate planning from basic wills and trusts to advanced tax planning;
  • Trust administration/settlement;
  • Probate court estate administration;
  • Probate court guardianship and conservatorship establishment and ongoing administration;
  • Probate court disputes and litigation;
  • Business entity formation;
  • Business succession planning;
  • Transfer tax planning;
  • Special needs planning and administration of special needs trusts; and
  • Public benefits planning for long-term care including Medicaid eligibility and recovery.
